he « Landscape » decree requires the Faculties to draw up a list of expenses beyond the registration fee for each curriculum. The goal is to inform students as fully and as realistically as possible about the cost of the studies they wish to pursue before they enrol.

The estimated costs below* are directly related to learning activities. They are to be added to the registration fee and to the accommodation, transport and food expenditures documented on this page

Fees common to all students 

The costs listed below often depend on the student’s personal situation and on their choices:

  • Purchase of a computer : between €700 and €1000
  • Purchase of a graphic calculator : about €100
  • Course notes and mandatory reference books : about €100 per year
  • Non-mandatory reference books : about €100 per year

The course notes and some of the main reference books used in our School of Engineering are sold at the best price by the Centrale des cours.

Reference books can also be consulted for free at the library or online.

Fees specific to students achieving their master's degree

  • Optional end of studies trip : depending on the student’s choices as far as destinations, accommodation etc. are concerned : about €700
  • Cost for the printing of the master thesis, if required by members of the jury : about €75

Fees specific to certain fields of studies

Bachelor in architectural engineering

  • Drawing material (pencils, felt pens, eraser, tracing sheets, drawing folder, set squares, rulers, compass…) : between €50 and €150
  • Safety shoes : between €25 and €80
  • A1 and A0 paper, printing of colour plans : between €15 and €60 per year
  • Model material : between €20 and €80 per year
  • Visiting day (transport fare and visits) : about €10 per year
  • « Archi » trip : 4 to 5 days trip during the Carnival break with all the students (accommodation, transport, visits and breakfast) : between €150 and €250 per trip

Bachelor in engineering

  • Lab coat and safety goggles : about €20
  • Software license : €50 - €80

Bachelor in computer science

  • Software license : €50 - €80

Master in architectural engineering

  • Model material : between €20 and €80 per year
  • Visiting day (transport fare and visits) : about €10 per year
  • « Archi » trip : 4 to 5 days trip during the Carnival break with all the students (accommodation, transport, visits and breakfast) : between €150 and €250 per trip

Master in biomedical engineering

  • Lab coat and lab journal : about €20
  • Transport fare for educational visits: about €40 per year

Master in chemicals and materials engineering

  • Lab coat and safety goggles : about €20

Master in civil engineering

  • Transport fare for educational visits : between €10€ and €60 per year 
  • Safety shoes : between €25 and €80

Master in mechanical engineering – professional focus « Advanced ship design »

  • Additional costs for European mobility and socio-professional integration activities: between €600 and €2000 per year
